How do buyer's buy Yuma Real Estate without paying an agent?

So how do they get paid? By the seller, not the buyer. When a seller lists their home with a Yuma real estate agent, that seller agrees to pay the agent a percent of the sale of the home. A typical number is about 6%. That number is split between the agent that lists the home and the agent that actually sells the home. In some cases this can be the same agent.

If the agent that lists the home also finds a buyer for the home, then that agent typically receives the entire commission for that sale. If a buyer is using an agent of their own, that agent will receive half of the commission or however much the seller and agent have agreed on.

So you can be sure that your agent has your interest and feelings in mind, not the seller of the home.

When a listing agent also becomes the selling agent this is sometimes called a "dual agent". This can work out very nice for the agent because they receive all the commission but it also can create a grey area of interest. The listing agent is concerned not only for the interest of the seller but the buyer as well.
